Baxter is a multinational company operating in several branches of the health sector, besides the undisputed quality of its products and the advanced technologies employed in medical equipment, in the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnologies.
The new headquarters of Baxter Italia Spa were designed in the 1950s by Attilio Lapadula. Until 2007 they housed the offices of the Department of Health. The building, located at the heart of the EUR district, is contemporaneous with its most important buildings.
The refurbishment project began in 2008. The Studio Transit Design Srl of Rome opted for a conservative choice in the planning of the façade, with just one new element, a cantilever roof which connects the solid base of the building with the upper glazed surface.
The bronze-coloured glazed panels, which were chosen to substitute the original ones, are in harmony with the warm hue of the travertine marble and grant uniformity with the opposite building.
Furniture.
The 200 workstations in Baxter headquarters belong to the Cartesio series, for the offices, and the Dinamico series for the executive offices.
The Dinamico series is characterised by extra-clear glass and sycamore finishes.
Solid walls
Baxter headquarters feature the P700 series glazed walls which ensure more brightness and transparency, thus being also energy-saving.
Organization
Glazed walls as well as storage walls define office spaces, improving their functionality and efficiency.
