Faram advocates for environmental sustainability
Claiming to be sustainable, green, and environmentally conscious is easy. Actually being so every day is quite another thing above and beyond fancy words and the admittedly very important environmental certifications. It is especially difficult to be truly “sustainable” if many production processes reside outside the company, c/o third-party suppliers.
This is one of the reasons Faram wanted to keep the main production processes in-house. Having almost everything in-house truly allows you to keep the environment at the center of attention in every stage, from design to shipping the finished product. For example, the design stage, when it comes to choosing product components, considers the recycling or reuse of materials paramount. The final stage requires recyclable packaging and focuses on reducing transportation-related waste.
In particular, Faram is proud to say:
-
it complies with the international Forest Stewardship Council standard: FSC-STD-40-004
- all of its products are 100% recyclable
-
the company takes back all used packaging and arranges directly for its recycling
-
thanks to the mappings carried out, Faram furnishings are instrumental in building certifications, be they LEED, BREEAM, or WELL Building
To measure the effectiveness of its efforts, Faram established a set of KPIs, including, in particular:
-
optimizing machine processing so that aluminum scrap (also sent for recycling) does not exceed 5%
-
reducing waste sent to landfills, never exceeding 3%

Quality means doing things right the first time
A good product and excellent customer service result from a well-organized company that effectively manages procurement, production processes, technical resources, training, and the experience of its employees. Faram acquired a series of international certifications, ensuring everyone knows what they need to do and has the proper training to carry out their assignments.
